Roundworm cats

Roundworm in cats live in the small intestine; they are round and long, feeding with the intestinal contents, thus making competition to the host organism.

It weakens the infected animal, has no appetite, shows anemia, lack of luster hair, vomit.

Roundworm cats appear often in feces, and diagnosis is based on coprological examinations. Disinfection is made with prescribed veterinary medicines and the box where the cat makes its droppings must be boiled daily throughout the treatment. It is advised to perform regular coprological examination to detect early stage parasites. Keep eyes open on the health of your baby cat!

When the baby cat is not doing well, you will notice a change in behavior. Maybe it will not want to play, it will not touch the food, can sleep more than usual or will meow without any apparent reason.

If you see vomiting or diarrhea, loss of appetite or weight or any changes of the eye condition or kitten fur, means that the cat is not feeling well and you have to take it to the veterinarian.

Regular vaccinations

By the age of 2 months and if the mother was properly vaccinated, the baby cat is protected by antibodies from the breast milk. But after that it will have to be vaccinated for the chance of a long and healthy life.

When should the baby cat be vaccinated?

Starting at 8 weeks the baby can make the first vaccine, vaccination schedule set by your veterinary doctor.
